| Judith recorded an audio introduction at this breast cancer awareness website: http://www.breastcancer.org/dictionary/celebrity/JudithLight_c.jsp
Now I have a new reason to admire her! I have been wondering if she'll be involved with the "Stand Up For Cancer" special that is airing tomorrow? Ron's aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer last week, so it's a topic of interest in our family right now. I'm going to record the show, and if Judith is involved, then I'll share the video with all of you.
Have any of you heard the song "Just Stand Up?" The ladies who sing it are supposed to perform it tomorrow night - it's a beautiful song, although I can't listen to it without crying.
I hope they raise a bunch of money to support cancer research, it's a wonderful cause.

| It's on tomorrow night on NBC, CBS, and ABC but I'm not sure about the time... Ron and Katie have taken over the TV playing a video game together, so I can't check at the moment. | |

| Thank you for the link. Too bad i can't see the show. Cancer breast is a very a sensitive subject for me. My grand mother is fighting one for several years. She's going to do again the chemo into 2 weeks. I think it's very important to talk about it. I understand your point Jen...

| I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother, Sandrine. I hope everything will work out with the treatments and she will get better. I'll say a prayer for her to get well and for the treatment to work.
Ron's aunt is really young - she's only 40. She will have surgery in a few weeks and start treatments soon.
I hope they raise a lot of money for research to help find a cure! It's such a wonderful cause to support.

| Ron and I watched Stand Up To Cancer together last night. We both made it mostly through without crying, until they started reading quotes from people who have lost relatives to cancer, and one was from a mother who lost her 4 1/2 year old son... that was it, we were both crying then. They did a wonderful job with the program, I'll be interested to see how much money they raised. Fran Drescher was there, she was wearing a Survivor t-shirt - I didn't know she'd had cancer before. I didn't see Judith, though, but it wouldn't surprise me if she was in the audience somewhere. My favorite, favorite singer Jason Mraz was on at the end singing with Melissa Etheridge. Now I have another reason to love him if he supports this cause! | |

| Fran Drescher had though moments in her life... She wrote a book about her cancer a few years ago. Cancer can strike anyone, hope they'll find a way to cure all kind of them, soon. And i think that information is important too. People should go to do check up as often as they can, so they can treat the disease effectively. Thanks for the review Jen. I like Jasin Mraz too. What did he sing? | |

| I'll pray for the success of the chemo, operation and treatment of your relatives who have cancer. I have an aunt whom I love so much, die of breast cancer last 1994, and my mom said 2 sisters of my grandma died of cancer too when I wasn't born yet. I do hope the research centers would soon find a better cure for cancer. But at least now there is some hope of getting better for people who are inflicted with this illness if it is diagnosed early. 15 years ago there wasn't any treatment at all. | |

| Sandrine, I don't remember the name of the song - I think it was one written for the special. Melissa Etheridge sang with Jason Mraz, the 2 members of the band Sugarland, and one other singer I didn't recognize. It was a lovely song!
I'm sorry to hear about your relatives, too Kathy. Seems like we all have someone in our family who has been affected by cancer. My grandma died from pancreatic cancer when I was 13, and Ron's mom had a breast cancer scare last year, but everything seems to have been caught early enough that she's healthy now.
The program featured one woman who was diagnosed and given only 2 months to live, but she had a new treatment at a hospital in California that identified the gene that caused her type of cancer. They gave her medicine to treat the defective gene, and it worked and she didn't have to have radiation or chemotherapy at all. And now she's healthy again. So the theory is that if they can do that for one type of cancer, they can do it for all types of cancer. How wonderful that would be!

| I'm verry sorry for your relatives Kathy, Jennifer... That disease is so horrible... My father had a cancer several years ago, He had the chance to get through it.
Jen, the theory you talked about would be the best thing it could happened. I wish it would be true one day.
